What does the ERE scheme mean for companies and their lease driver(s)?

Legally speaking, the employee / lease driver is the holder of the grid connection. And the holder of the grid connection is the one who has to give the authorisation in the first instance and who receives the proceeds. At present we see 2 options:

1.) The employee registers individually with a registration service provider. The employer is not involved in this.

2.) The company / the employer facilitates this collectively. For example, by actively encouraging the employee(s) to register and by setting up a partnership with a registration service provider. The employer can then make arrangements about how the proceeds are shared, the amount per kWh charged, or settlement via the mileage allowance.
